Day 278

Delicious food prepared by my CCMHT partner in crime (and recent RISD MIArch Graduate), Jing!

I don't even have a favorite because it was all AMAZING.

My contribution. Thank you Bisquick.

We sure have come a long way from snow-covered Cape Cod.

Day 276: Tampa

Yesterday we visited Tampa's Thai Temple for amazing eats and beautiful scenery!

Visit them HERE!

Day 274

Only six weeks until Rome! In the past week I:

Finished up the MassArt Structures class by learning shear and moment diagrams.

Ran into a "city kitty" greeting Wentworth Institute of Technology Freshman lined up for orientation.

Had my first RISD Continuing Education class: Architectural Rendering in Watercolor.

And now I'm in boiling hot Tampa for a few days! Only six weeks to go until Rome. Which is apparently also boiling hot this time of year.

Day 270

Back out to Cape Cod for a CCMHT event: "In the Schools, on the Streets - Modernism Comes to America" Panel discussion with Gabrielle Esperdy and Jill Pearlman at Preservation Hall in downtown Wellfleet.

Day 273

Remember that desk Christina and I built last semester? We finally installed it at the finished Pine Street Inn / Creighton Street location! The desk is looking hot and the entire project came out beautifully.

In other news, my structures class at MassArt is moving right along

....with an occasional after-class trip to Cambridge Antiques near Lechmere.

And of course, lots of Italian practice.

Day 264

After a brief post-finals hiatus, I'm back in the blogging saddle. I've got eight weeks until Rome, so to start off the summer fun, I went to my first Providence Waterfire on Friday.

I also spent a few days "interning" and decided to discontinue that endeavor due to time crunch.

I'm in the midst of planning my Carlo Scarpa Northern Italy Tour de Architecture.

I think I've got the itinerary narrowed down to three excursions. I'm in the midst of compiling the written proposal for the independent study for scheme detailing. I don't think I can share pictures on this blog due to copyright - but I'll definitely have pictures from my travels!
