Wintersession: A look back

It's almost time to start up a real-deal semester again. Spring 2011. Feb 21st. I'll be back to blogging everyday. For now, scenes from the last six weeks of Wintersession.

A trip to NYC for some Housing Works Shopping (yield: 1 pr Tod's & my first trip to a Russian Banya).



The most gorgeous internship setting ever, the outer Cape.













Lots of snow every Tuesday/Wednesday that interrupts the journey out to Cape Cod.





A trip to Las Vegas for some condo measuring and casino/hotel perusing. I suggest the recently opened Cosmopolitan. Breathtaking. I do not suggest Circus Circus unless you want to know what carpet seasoned with cigarettes and ass circa 1970 smells like.

















And this Friday, Seattle. It'll be my first trip to the Northwest and I am uber excited.

It's not that I'm dead...

I'm just reveling in the calm of wintersession. This morning I'm at a RISD Quickie class taught by RISD Prez John Maeda, aka The Bees Knees. More about RISD Quickies and a full update later this weekend!

So I finished...

just in time to look at the forecast, realize i should not be driving the 5+ hours to Philly in the snow, and cancel my interview.

rocks.

I'm got some excellent overnight hosts after the interview in Philly tomorrow - so I put together some thanks! gifts for their boys using butcher paper and scrap pilot flight charts.





I had to do something exciting to spruce up the not-so-enthralling gift of books.

I had an excellent first day at the internship with CCMHT out on Cape Cod. Pictures soon!

It's almost time to head to Philly for the internship interview. I'm putting together a few last minute portfolio touches. Like fabric flowers.



Phoebe is really getting into it.

BUT this Friday is a little different. I'm headed to Philly for the Anthropologie Summer Internship Interview. My portfolio was ::just about complete:: when I discovered RISD's letterpress shop. Evil. Absolute evil.


Then Saturday and Sunday a stop in NYC for some Brooklyn Flea (and other) fun.
